Google finally disclosed its new cell phones, the Pixel and Pixel XL in San Francisco yesterday.
After the Nexus line has been abandoned, the Pixel and Pixel XL are the two smartphones to be made by Google “all around”, implying that Google has engineered both the hardware equipment and the OS. More than this, they are the only phones to run Google’s most up to date version of the OS, in this case the Android 7.1 Nougat, and offer the cleanest Android experience you are able to get on a cell phone.
The Pixel has a 5-inch display, while the Pixel XL’s size is 5.5-inches. A slight bezel gives both smartphones a close edge-to-edge display. Same as for the previous Nexus 5X and 6P, the Pixel has a unique fingerprint sensor on the back, placing it brilliantly when you’re holding the phone in one hand.
During the same conference Google introduced other products as well branded as “Made by Google”.
